BIRTH-PRE-K:
The preschool ministry here at FBC Aledo desires to help even our youngest participants understand three basic truths:
- GOD MADE ME
- GOD LOVES ME
- JESUS WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND FOREVER
It is the goal of First Kids Preschool Ministry to make every moment spent with us, meaningful and fun-filled, and to infuse each program with those basic truths.
NURSERY: For children birth-two, available during all services and special events. Providing an environment where even the youngest of God’s children can experience the joy of His great love.
EXTENDED SESSION: Offered during the 10:45 Sunday morning service. A loving environment where every child aged birth-four can understand God’s great love for them through a variety of activities including story time, songs, and play.
AGE GRADED BIBLE STUDIES: Offered during the 9:30 Sunday morning bible study hour to give children the ability to learn of the many wonders available to them through God’s Word. Bible stories are introduced through a variety of experiences.
ALL-STARS: Wednesday nights in September-May from 6:00-7:00. An exciting fun-filled break from the hustle and bustle of a busy week, where kids aged three-sixth grade can fellowship and learn God’s truths together.

WELL AND SICK CHILD POLICIES
: Children who show any visible signs of illness should not be allowed into
the classroom. When a child is presented with visible signs of illness,
remove the child from the other children and notify the director on duty
immediately. Be sensitive to each child's situation when evaluating the
circumstances.
Upon the recommendation of the Committee on Control of Infectious Diseases
and the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child exhibits signs of illness
when any of the following conditions exist:
* Fever
* Vomiting or diarrhea
* Any symptoms of childhood diseases such as; scarlet fever, measles,
mumps, chicken pox, strep throat, flu, etc.
* Common cold (from onset through one week)
* Sore throat
* Croup
* Fifth disease
* Any unexplained rash
* Pink eye or other eye infections
* Cloudy or green runny noses or persistent cough
* Any other known communicable diseases
Adherence to this policy is important to protect the health of all the
children in our ministry.
SECURITY PROCEDURES: It is of up most importance to all at FBC Aledo that every child is safe and well cared for while in our care. When you arrive at your child’s classroom, you will be given a security tag, and your child will be tagged with a corresponding one. You will need to present that tag when picking your child up.
A pager will be available to anyone who would like to check one out at the welcome center. If for any reason your child needs you, we will page you and your pager will vibrate to alert you to come to the welcome center and check on your child.
All parents are welcome to come and peek in on their children at any time; we just ask that you do so discreetly so as not to upset the children or the learning environment.
The loving adults that serve in the First Kids preschool ministry have cleared a background check and have had appropriate training.
