How to Become a Christian

How to Become a Christian:
 
God’s Word states that for you to become a Christian…
 
Romans 3:10,23 - You must understand that ALL have sinned. There has never been anyone
other than Jesus Christ Himself who has lived a perfect sinless life.
 
Romans 5:8 – Although each of us has sinned…God still loves us anyway.
 
Romans 6:23 – Because we have sinned we deserve death and hell, BUT God offers the
gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
 
Romans 10:9-10,13 – To receive this gift all one must do is confess Jesus as Lord of your life and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. All one must do is call upon the Lord to save you.
 
John 3:16 – God loves you so much that He sent His only Son Jesus so that you
or anyone who believes in Him shall be saved!
 
Acts 3:19 – We must repent…or turn away from our sin and turn to God. We must identify ourselves
as sinners (that we have sin in our lives) and turn from them and seek to live a life pleasing unto God.
 
Ephesians 2:8-9 – To be saved and become a Christian is ONLY through the gift that God
offers us and NOT through anything that we can do on our own.
 
John 14:6 – Jesus is the Only way to heaven. No matter how good a life you live…
without accepting this free gift of God you will not be able to enter into heaven.
 
Prayer to become a Christian:
 
If you believe what God’s Word says about becoming a Christian all you must do is pray to God a
prayer in your own words similar to this one:
 
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins and that God raised You from the dead. I admit that I am a sinner, and the best I know how, I turn away from my sins to You. I ask You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving and forgiving me. With your help, I will live for You the rest of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
