Who are Volunteers?
One of our Shared Responsibilities at First Baptist Church is SERVING the Church. When we volunteer to serve others, extending a hand to those in need, we model the heart of Jesus Christ.
Each ministry area is made up of several different Volunteer Teams who serve on Sundays and during the week. Browse our listing of volunteer opportunities below. Sign up for an area or two that you are interested in, and someone will be in touch with more information and an opportunity to begin serving.
Koinonia Center Team
Do you enjoy coffee and fellowship? The Koinonia Center is a place where you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee, some delicious pastries, and some great fellowship. If you enjoy brewing coffee, preparing pastries, and fellowship, then please come join the Koinonia Center Team.

Greeter Team
Greeters create a great first impression from the curb to the front doors to the sanctuary. They assist people on Sunday mornings by handing out programs and helping guests navigate their way through the church.

James Gang Team
If you have a heart for serving the Lord and are willing to be of service to those in need, please join the James Gang Ministry. James 1:27 is the heart of this ministry "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

Children’s Team
The Children’s team is responsible for the nursery and all the bible studies and activities for children up to 6th Grade. If you have a passion for children, we have a variety of opportunities from the nursery to bible studies to crowd control.

Worship Team
The primary purpose of the Worship Team is to effectively communicate and lead the congregation in worship of Jesus Christ. We use a blended style of music and creative contemporary worship elements to not only convey Biblical principles but to usher the worshiper into the presence of God. This team incorporates all the aspects that come together to create a Christ-centered worship service—light, sound, drama, video, music, and more.
